Bit by bit this thread is changing from improv- to post-prod-oriented. Music akin to a wide variety of feelings and styles, from symph / philarm orchestra to jazz, to heavy.

Two bands, GMT and  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQFCVDGmuWnNddiomawJn5Q" rel="nofollow - MPXXIV , and solo stuff ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu_iYtap2TDmxIC71iJiEFA" rel="nofollow - Gnohgnuhgnlus , on which channel GMT tracks were uploaded) inherit from those improvs so far...

We weren't playing right hand synth, left hand guitar for one musician and drums the other, but one musician synth and the other right hand (+feet) drums and left hand toned down guitar, which allows some complex bs+dr random rhythmic patterns to be held together without rehearsing !!

An improv by duet GMT (GMT being the crushing of our name's initials). A de-pitched voice was added later + a  "baryton" line with the guitar, so as to make it more lively.

A video clip based on one of our improvs in 2011.

Another editing

Hi,

I'll give these ALL a listen, but I have to let you know that improvisation is dead, and too many people can only do their scales instead of living a moment or two.

It's no longer about the experience. It's about the music, you know!

Thx

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Wouldn't we regret if this kind of topic were to disappear...

Same instrumental ways as in GMT's Cosmos hereabove, but this time with piano sound on keyboards, and MIDI violin / double bass line added later.

I'm currently editing less amateur-ish sounding improvs than this, but that doesn't mean they're tastier...

A beat similar to the one in "We Will Rock You", suitable for two parts of a huge crowd shouting in turn "Hoo" and "Ha" to take it further, and open space for an iridescent burning out-of-there guitar solo...

...But no crowd nor a guitar on that beat: only one cello line
