Obsidian Kingdom is a Spanish band that's pretty tough to classify. They've got a strong influence from Porcupine Tree and Opeth in their sound, but there are also plenty of touches of black metal, post rock, avant-metal, and doom metal. It's a really unique band that should appeal to fans of dark and experimental prog metal.

Their new album Mantiis is available for free download here: http://obsidiankingdom.bandcamp.com/" rel="nofollow - http://obsidiankingdom.bandcamp.com/

Cheers,
Jeff

Agreed! I'm actually just about ready to post my 4.5 star review of their debut over on MetalMusicArchives. Smile
