OK, I LOVE the Transatlantic album `SMPTe', and White Willow's `Sacrament' is damn good too, but I can't say no to PT's `Lightbulb Sun'. A varied mix of indie-pop, alt-rock and longer progressve rock numbers. Man, `Where We Would Be' is a touching and heartfelt ballad..."Strange how we never become, the person we see when we're young" is such a striking lyric. I remember so many years ago I wrote to Steven Wilson and mentioned how much I loved `Last Chance To Evacuate Planet Earth Before It Gets Recycled', and I asked him how the first romantic acoustic vocal section related to the dreamy Mellotron drenched psychedelic second half (with the tape of Heavens Gate/Hale Bopp cult leader), and although I forget his exact words, he essentially replied with `They don't, I just thought they sounded nice together'.... !! I felt quite crestfallen at the time, but now I find it rather amusing!

I don't know all of these(minor understatement), but I have always enjoyed Lightbulb Sun immensely. Shesmovedon and Russia on Ice are personal faves. I have heard the Transatlantic one, but it didn't do anything for me. Too much hand lotion and sugar pie honey pot for my tastes. Gotta love the tiny Steven Wilson anecdote from Michael!! I've only heard two of these; Sacrament (only once, can't remember anything of it) and SMPTe, which didn't impress me. No vote in this part either. -------------
