Hello, and welcome to Progstreaming 2013!

We have added:

* Retrospective - Lost In Perception
* Ballo Delle Castagne - Surpassing All Other Kings
* Moonrise - Stopover-Life
* Bader Nana - Wormwood
* Tusmorke - Underjordisk Tusmorke
* Argos - Cruel Symmetry
* Antonius Rex - Hystero Demonopathy
* Neodyme - Le Guetteur
* AJ Charron - Humouring Gods

Be surprised! Some gems within these!

Also:

* There was a new Bit-sized Prog at Progulator at the brink of the new year: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size-prog-merry-christmas-and-a-proggy-new-year-to-you/. They give 4,5 stars to the excellent Tea Club, check it out!
* Click a Google add every day! We receive a percentage, which keeps the site floating!
* Buy the CDs you like, digital or physical. Some of these artists throw a party when they sell a thousand CDs, so every sell counts for them. Be supportive of your favorite genre. Don't waste time on things you don't like though.
* Suggest new CDs for streaming to Progstreaming. Talk about it on Facebook and Twitter, and suggest Progstreaming to your friends! Use the RSS-feed, so you don't miss a single feature!

Coming up next week: an Edison's Children-special to celebrate the one-year- anniversary of "In The Last Waking Moments". Three streams!

Coming up really soon after that: the new La Maschera Di Cera. Can't wait to share that one, but I will have to be patient. It's stunning!

Enjoy the music!

First of all, great site. Has helped me find a lot of great new music to buy.

However, using Firefox (17.0.1), the site is now being blocked as a possible attack site. This has only happened in the last day.

Hi there,

We've experienced a bit of trouble with the site, but the ice is thick enough to skate on now! Now worries, just great music. Like:

* Sailor Free - Spiritual Revolution
* Yugen - Mirrors
* Psycho Praxis - Echoes From The Deep
* Pax Romana - Let All Men Know, This Is Sacred Ground
* Aparecidos - Palitobombonhelado
* Flower Flesh - Duck In The Box
* Roz Vitalis - Patience Of Hope
* Jeseter - Promena
* Batisfera - Solar Wind, The Inner Circle

Also:
* Because of the recent problems we've swapped the announced Edison's Children-special. You will have that one next week.
* First, this Tuesday, the new La Maschera Di Cera will be on the streets. It's a follow-up to a classic of the seventies. We are proud to have the international premiere of this album, which will come in Italian and English, just like the classic I've mentioned above. Check the link of their record company BTF and guess what classic that is: http://www.btf.it/the-gates-of-tomorrow.html. You don't know? Gosh, how long have you been a progfan?! You need some catchin' up! ;)

I'm pretty sure - though - 99% of the progfans visiting this site regularly are not familiar with the 9 new streams of today. I urge you to listen, if only for a few minutes. I'm sure you will find a surprise one out every five. Some people listen to one stream a day. Others dedicate a whole day to investigate the site (at their work, when their colleagues is free, I guess). Whatever your plan of action, make use of this, and don't let it go to waste. Before you know it, they're gone, and you've might missed out a masterpiece!

So, onwards!

Hi progfans around the world,

Here we go with 2013s first masterpiece:

* La Maschera Di Cera - The Gates Of Tomorrow, or - if you prefer the Italian version:
* La Maschera Di Cera - Le Porte Del Domani

About this album:
"La Maschera di Cera 2013 studio album is a continuation of the “Felona and Sorona” concept (Le Orme, 1973), a record that is unanimously considered a masterpiece, as well as a milestone in the world progressive rock scene. (...) “Le Porte del Domani” (The Gates of Tomorrow) contains a 45-minute suite in nine parts and is released by AMS Records. The cover artwork has been made by Lanfranco, the same author of the original “Felona and Sorona” painting. “Le Porte del Domani" is printed on CD in two different Italian and English versions (the second has also a slightly different mix), but also available on LP".

So:
* Compare all you like. Listen to them simultaneously, if you're in a weird mood.
* Decide which one you will want to buy. A lot of you I know will buy them both!
* Please do share these streams any way you can, e.g. through Facebook, Twitter or just plain-old e-mail. Spread the word!

Those of you who eagerly awaited the 3-CD Edison's Children-special featuring Marillion's Pete Trewavas, that one is postponed until next update!

Enjoy this special!

Hi there!

This week we proudly present the long-awaited Edison's Children-special, which contains the following:

* Edison's Children - In The Last Waking Moments...
* Edison's Children - In The First Waking Moments (the making of ItLWM)
* Edison's Children - A Million Miles Away EP

Also, we have two competitions running:
* Progstreaming received 5 copies of A.J. Charron's brilliant "Humouring Gods". You can listen to this album right here: http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00305%20-%20AJ%20Charron%20-%20Humouring%20Gods. You can win a copy by telling Progstreaming how you would try to humour a god.
* Last week we had the new La Maschera Di Cera, English and Italian. I know you've all enjoyed it, and hopefully a lot of you already placed an order. Now's your chance to win "the other" version. So send us a picture (be gentle, not too large) with the version you've bought, and if we like the picture, we'll send you the accompanying version. Sounds complicated? The Gates Of Delirium is complicated, you fool! There will be three winners at least (unless BTF and Progstreaming think the photographs are of outstanding quality, and we can't make up our minds).
* If you're a Friend Of Progstreaming: do participate. You've already earned a 50% higher chance of winning either.
* Want to become a F.o.P.? Donate at least 20 $ a year. To [email protected], or use the PayPal-button on the site. Partnership with Progstreaming comes with goodies like special competitions for the fans, as well as at least one free Bandcamp-download a year.

Speaking of free downloads...

* Have you ever heard of "The Dream of the Magic Jongleur" by The Psychedelic Ensemble? Well, a die-hard progfan like you should, for it's a masterpiece. Our friends from Progulator giving away free downloads, right here: http://progulator.com/reviews/free-music-the-psychedelic-ensemble/. Normal price: 11 $. If you don't believe it's a masterpiece, just listen to the Bandcamp right here: http://thepsychedelicensemble.bandcamp.com/album/the-dream-of-the-magic-jongleur. Only catch: they want your e-mail, probably to spam you for future Psychedelic Ensemble-masterpieces. Well... we'll live with that, won't we?

Enjoy the music!

Hello again,

This week we have no less than 10 new streams, with some nice surprises included:

* Shadow Circus - On A Dark And Stormy Night
* Majestic - V.O.Z.
* Starfish64 - The Half-Life Of A Gleam (please read the note below!)
* T - Psychoanorexia
* Apogee - Waiting For The Challenge
* Runaway Totem - Affreschi E Meditazione
* Orchestre Celesti - Quattro
* Murky Red - Time Doesn't Matter
* Padre - From Faraway Island
* AnVision - AstralPhase

Some important notes:

* The Starfish64 digital release is free to download for every Friend Of Progstreaming. If you're a Friend, e-mail us. We're quite lazy, you know.
* You become a Friend Of Progstreaming by donating at least $ 20 to our PayPal-address ([email protected] or use the button on the site). You will receive the download of Starfish64, and by choice either a download of Freedom 2 Glide or The Tea Party. So, donate and e-mail us your choice, knowing meanwhile you'll be supporting your favorite site!
* If you like a release, and have a Facebook-account, please click the 'like' underneath the artwork. Artists, fans, record-labels and distributors take notice. Occasional demons too!
* Last week you could win the 'other' edition of La Maschera Di Cera. Show us a picture of the edition you've bought, and you can win the 'other' language, to complete your collection. This competition runs until Sunday!
* Last week you could win a free CD by A.J. Charron. This competition is also still up. One e-mail is all it takes to have a good chance of winning this.
* More free stuff? Progulator is distributing The Psychedelic Ensemble. Now this is a masterpiece. You're stupid for not responding. Here's the link: http://progulator.com/reviews/free-music-the-psychedelic-ensemble/.
* A glowing review for The Enid's latest offering "Invicta", right here: http://progulator.com/reviews/the-enid-invicta/. A new bite-sized Prog is over here: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size-prog-the-nord-giordano-project/. Well, at the moment it's unreadable, but I'm sure they'll handle that soon.
* Lynx Music, known from Millenium, Moonrise and now Padre, have a brand new site. Visit them on their 15th anniversary: http://www.lynxmusic.pl/. Ordering stuff has never been that simple!

Phew, that was lot! Tell Progstreaming if you like the releases. We like feed-back, so don't be shy.

Play To The World!

Hi there,

Due to the problems we had, your beloved site was off-line for a whole week. We're back, though. You will notice that some links and a lot of buttons are still not in place, but they will resurface all soon.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for all the troubles we might have caused last week, and thanks a million-fold for the many, many messages we received through our e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, Progressive Ears, Progarchives-forum and more.

If the problems might maintain, contact us immediately. First empty your entire history and cache. You might be dealing with some residue from old problems.

So, without further ado, enjoy the music!

* The brilliant Johannes Luley (ex-Moth Vellum) is now also available in Europe, through Just for Kicks and Beyond Rock. The album received more than a 100 likes in just a week, so do check out this absolutely gorgeous album:

http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00343%20-%20Johannes%20Luley%20-%20Tales%20From%20Sheepfather%60s%20Grove" rel="nofollow - http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00343%20-%20Johannes%20Luley%20-%20Tales%20From%20Sheepfather%60s%20Grove .

Hi there,

Today we bring you a special, with only the new:

* The Aurora Project - Selling The Aggression

This is also to celebrate the fact this album has entered De Wereldse Tien. This is an interactive, monthly prog-chart, for which everyone can place their votes. For over ten years, Progwereld brings this top 20 to show what's 'hot' in Progland! Three rules for voting: only new releases count, and you must list 5 albums. Finally no live-albums are permitted. Here's the link: http://www.progwereld.org/cms/de-wereldse-10/.

It's in Dutch, but I'm sure you'll hardly noticed. All world-inhabitans are allowed to vote! Do this every month and help your fellow progfans!

Enjoy the music!

Hi there,

Just before the weekend, a chance to catch up with this one:

* IQ - Tales From The Lush Attic 2013 remix

The stream only includes the album. The double-edition contains loads of bonus-tracks on the CD, and a whole DVD of other goodies, including the original "Tales"-mix, a live-performance in Holland, and the 1982 cassette "Seven Stories Into Eight".

But it's the main album that's the most important. It's remixed by Mike Holmes personally, and it's a million times an upgrade of the original album. You're not a serious progfan if you haven't at least tried this album. It's a classic.

Besides that, the package is really pretty: http://gep.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=129, plus it's real cheap too! So, treat yourself this Easter.

Enjoy the music!

Hello,

Getting bored on your day off? Here are 9 streams for you to explore, with some masterpieces among them:

* Iamthemorning - ~ (this is a stunning debut for fans of White Willow, Azure Ray, Paatos and Joanna Newsom. It's a 'name-your-price-release at Bandcamp, but the original album is really pretty designed. If you like the music, buy it soon, for there are only 150 handmade copies of it. Got little time? Try track 11 'Monsters').
* Herd of Instinct - Conjure
* Clear Blue Sky - Don't Mention Rock 'n Roll
* Moonwagon - Foyers Of The Future
* Taylor's Universe - Worn Out
* Experimental Quintet - Atlantis
* Ananke - Shangri-La
* Soma White - Soma White
* Crows Labyrinth - Travels

Don't Forget, you've still have until tomorrow evening to listen to the special one-week-stream of:

* Osada Vida - Particles

Two days ago, we had on Progstreaming Classic:

* IQ - Tales From The Lush Attic 2013 remix. You will find it here: http://www.progstreamingclassic.com/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00015 - IQ - Tales From The Lush Attic 2013 remix. We forgot to mention it was on the Classic-devision, which made the update an unintentional Easter Eggs-special. I'm sure you've found it though!

Also:

- Click a Google add once every day.
- Support the music by ordering through our links. Don't let the raise of international shipping costs scare you. Compare prices and if you want our advice, do contact us. We're here to help you get your new progrock-fixx!
- Become a Friend of Progstreaming. Receive a free download! Donate 20 $ through our PayPal-button on the site, and goodies will come to you!
- Here's a new Bit-size Prog: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-torn/. 4 stars for Jolly! Jolly good!

Happy remaining Easter! Enjoy the music!

Oh, I do respond and I'm alive and well. I even have an e-mail dropped in everytime someone responds. You can - by the way - also e-mail me directly at [email protected] or give me a private message if you really want a response.

As for Snow Dogs responses, I've read them, but since they're not actually about the music on the site, I regarded them as 'less important'. But to respond finally, I don't know about any programms that blocks Google Adds. There are Google Adds on both sides of the site, and one on every page just below the player.

Hope you can find it. Where do you live? If in Italy, contact BTF.IT. They have it for 16 euros.

If you're from the States, e-mail Greg Walker from Syn-Phonic. It's not in his list, but it's a Lizard Records album, and I'm sure he can import it if you ask him nicely.

Hi, progfans!

In association with Metal Mind Productions, we proudly present to you:

* Clive Nolan - Alchemy
at http://www.progstreaming.com

* Pendragon - Out Of Order Comes Chaos
at http://www.progstreamingclassic.com

These are both 2CDs, so they will be on the site for 2 weeks. So better hurry and start listening!

Meanwhile, yesterday we brought you the live-album of Museo Rosenbach at Progstreaming Classic, which you must not miss.

Please support Progstreaming by:
* Actually buy the releases you enjoy. We live in a world where some excellent releases - some of them familiar names too - sell less than 1000 copies. So every purchase counts.
* Compare prices and shipping rates between our sponsors. If in doubt, contact Progstreaming!
* Click a Google add every day.
* Become a sponsor. Donate at least 20$ through PayPal, and you're stuck with us for a year. The first five who'll do this starting today, will receive a free CD!

Listening to Alchemy right now.
Pretty good so far, as long as one doesn't mind "musical theatre" style vocals.

Hi all,

This Sunday we'll bring you a special around the Swedish crossover progband Dynamo Bliss:

* Dynamo Bliss - Day And Night
* Dynamo Bliss - Poplar Music

The brand new album "Day And Night" is temporary a 'name your price'-release on their Bandcamp. Which means you can give as less as zero, and you shouldn't hesitate in doing that (or feel guilty). This band is a real discovery, and it's only a matter of time before this band is picked up by an acclaimed label.

Coming up soon Jupiter Society (featuring members of Carptree), Little Atlas, Yuka & Chronoship, Aaron Clift Experiment, Poor Genetic Material and.. (making trembling noise...) the brand new La Coscienza Di Zeno. I can't wait!

But for now, as always,
Enjoy the music!

Hi again,

Remember the days you only vaguely heard about Italian Progressive Rock? Your uncle new a guy who had a brother who imported ancient stuff from Italy, or something like that.

Those days are long behind us, for here's the new album by:

* La Coscienza Di Zeno - Sensitivita

Uno splendido album!

La Coscienza Di Zeno's first album is still downloadable for whatever you want to pay for (don't be ashamed to pay zero, please!) right
here: http://lacoscienzadizeno.bandcamp.com/.

Also, last week we had our own supergroup, with members of the same group as above, Ske and Yugen:

* Not A Good Sign - Not A Good Sign (already received more than a 100 'likes' in just four days)

A stunning album!

A fun fact is that both albums are sung by the amazing Alessio Calandriello, though in English on NOGS, and in his mother-language on CDZ.

Godetevi la musica!

what a great site for hearing new prog!
can you please explain how it works?  I gather that the albums displayed on the home page are the only ones that one can listen to, and that there is a rotation of some sort?  What about links for purchasing?  Are downloads available for purchase for all of these?  Right now I'm enjoying POOR GENETIV MATERIAL for the first time and MILLENIUM's "Ego"
Thanks!

Hi again!

Following the update yesterday with the excellent Days Between Stations (hope you've already listened to that masterpiece) + a couple of other streams, we're glad to present the following live-albums and one tribute to you:

* A tribute to Pink Floyd - More Animals At The Gates Of Reason
For this tribute label AMS/BTF asked the bands to pick some of not obvious tracks of Pink Floyd to pay tribute to. That's why this tribute is very different from others! With contributions from Fabio Zuffanti, Prowlers, The Samurai Of Prog (featuring Roine Stolt, Guy Le Blanc and Jon Davison), Daal and Conqueror.

* Hostsonaten - The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner Chapter One (Alive in Theater). This excellent live-renditions of Fabio Zuffanti's project comes with a DVD if you buy it. High quality progressive rock from Italy!

* Locanda Delle Fate - Bloom Live. The reunion of one of the most famous of old Italian progressive rock-bands caught on a disc. This live-album also comes with a DVD.

You can find all this at Progstreaming Classic, which is http://www.progstreamingclassic.com. You'll find a banner on the left which will bring you back to 'regularly' Progstreaming, if you want to listen to Days Between Stations, Vienna Circle, Not A Good Sign, Light Coorporation and Arabs in Aspic, to name a few.

Follow the small links under the player to buy this directly from the artists. Or, follow the button of Beyond Rock, Just for Kicks, BTF and Synphonic. All four are trusted partners. If you have never ordered something on-line, take a leap of faith!

My purpose was to slow down a bit during the quieter Summertime. But it's impossible, for there's too much great progrock to discover!

Right now Progstreaming has added:

Here's the review on Progulator: http://progulator.com/reviews/jack-othe-clock-all-my-friends/.
* Always, if you make a discovery which ends up to you actually purchasing the album, please tell the band on their Facebook, or just e-mail them. Many of the bands and artists at Progstreaming sell only a couple of hundred CDs, so they will indeed be pleased.
* Want to support Progstreaming? Donate at least 20 $ and you'll automatically receive a free CD and at least 2 free downloads THIS YEAR (a promise I'll do my best to keep!)
* And click a Google Add once every day.
