Figured this would have been done already but I couldn't find nothing. These two Floyd soundtracks sound nothing like each other and are both underrated by many. Choose!

I have a feeling "Obscured" will take this, but I'm voting More.

great songs on both but I think Obscured is a bit more consistent.

As much as I love `Obscured By Clouds', `More' has a very special place in my collection. The last beautiful, shimmering, acid-drenched full-blown psychedelic album the Floyd recorded.

I'm a bit biased, as I've also got a lovely blue/rippled tie-dye Floyd/More t-shirt, though I doubt it fits anymore, I wore it about 15 years ago!

UPDATED - Yes, I still found I have the t-shirt. No, it does not fit me anymore. No, it did not look good.

Obscured is one of my favorite Floyd albums.  It beats out the usual Floyd fan favorites DSOTM and The Wall for me, so putting it up against More is an easy choice.

MORE. How many times in France i was in a bar or cafe and MORE would be played. It's a lost classic. For that, it holds a special place.
 Both are great, though ;-)

'More' for me, no contest.  'More' is a shimmering, hippie daydream for the most part - love Wright's Farfisa work especially.  ObC is my least favourite Floyd album (well, on par with Momentary Lapse....).

Obscured by Clouds (it's right there, in my top ten of all time), no freaking contest.

EDIT: More is really nice too, though I just wish the band did something about the filler tracks.

More is one of my fav Floyd albums; OBC is one of my least fav.

Obscured is more of a focused album for me. More feels like a collection of music they made for a movie.I love the music on both albums though

I really love 'More', 'Cirrus Minor' and the 2 instrumental 'Theme' tracks are even amongst my Floyd favorites.

I don't care for Obscured. I rarely get further then track 1 and 2.

Obscured by Clouds, More is a bit too inconsistent and badly recorded.

More has Cymbaline, Obscured By Clouds has a bunch of nice pop songs. The importance of Obscured by Clouds is IMO in the lyrics of Free Four. Together with Echoes it's a prelude to Dark Side and the direction taken by Waters up to The Final Cut. But  I like More more.

And The Nile Song is an ascending canon, something that comes directly from classical music in the only hard rock track recorded by Floyd.

"More" for me. I usually prefer albums that have the same sort of style throughout like "Obscured By Clouds" instead of a lot of variety like "More" but for whatever reason i do prefer "More".

More isn't terrible, but certainly not as consistent as Obscured.

I’ve got Obscured by Clouds at rank 6 on my Pink Floyd list (#70 overall). More is 9 of Pink Floyd (#153 overall). I think More has some superior songs, but Obscured by Clouds is a better listen start to finish.

More is one of my favourite Floyd albums - so laid back and chill. I have yet to see the film, but judging by the fantastic soundtrack, it has to be at least worthy of some quality. Green Is The Colour is just great.

^ Don't be fooled by the soundtrack. There isn't as much music in the film as you probably would expect. The film is just about how far the drugs can take you and that they can change the course of another person's life.

Actually, there are songs in the film not on the soundtrack; they have never been officially released:

They recorded a version of "Cymbaline" with Waters on lead vocals and alternate lyrics, but I'm not sure if that is in the film or not. I've never seen them but both More and La Vallee are supposed to be sh*tty films.

^ The alternate lyrics are in the film. And I think that is a good way to think about a film before you start watching: "It's going to be a suckfest, but let's see if it has a crum of something good. That way I will not waste my time and actually learn how bad it is, and spread the word about its suckiness."

But is it still interesting enough to watch? Sounds like a pretty cool Art film to me. Big smile What, does the concept revolve around the abuse of hallucinogens and such?

In all honesty, there really isn't much going on. A little bit of France, but the rest of the time it's Ibiza; ... some sex, but yeah, it's mostly about drugs and by how much they can change you, your life, and the people around you. Everything goes nicely, but then it's all downhill. I wouldn't say it's very bad. It's OK.

More really stood out for me. I still can't really process and love ObC as much as I do More.
