Hi!

I am a "newbie" to the forum but by no means new to the great world of progressive rock.  I have been listening to prog since the early 1970's and my enthusiasm and interest in the music has not diminished over the years, I think if anything it has become more intense.
My musical interest are mainly symphonic progressive rock area although my tastes are quite eclectic, good music is good music no matter from which genre.
Band of particular interest to me include:

Camel, Yes, Genesis, IQ, Flower Kings, ELP, Amazing Blondel, Jadis, Grey Lady Down, Glasshammer, Magenta, Spock's Beard, Kaipa, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Root, Quintessence, Wishbone Ash, The Tangent, Guy Manning, Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief, RPWL, Pete Bardens, Pendragon, Threshold, Dream Theater and many, many others.

Does anyone know what has happened to the new album by The Gift?

According to their website the album (The Land of Shadows) has been delayed as the band is switching to a new label.

Good to see a Pete Bardens fan in the house...Welcome!

If I remember the title correctly, "Seen One Earth" by Pete was my favorite solo by him...RIP

Thank you for your welcome.

I am an avid Camel fan and I have enjoyed most of Pete's solo stuff as well from his pre Camel stuff until his last album "The Art of Levitation" (2002).
Pete's first album after leaving Camel was indeed "Seen One Earth" released in 1987.

Are you into camel also?

^  I sort of did it backwards, I discovered Pete in the 80s as my listening tastes went away from the rock world then and into more instrumental music.  Living in a rural area in the states during the 70s, I had heard of Camel but I could not find any Camel albums in that neck of the woods, so I actually did not begin to listen to their stuff until early 2000s and have enjoyed it!

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
