i like both they creates their own worlds, and you can dream yourself into a fantasy realm by looking into the art work, spessialy Ozrics. I like Ozrics better i think -------------

Very easy choice for me, Yes.
I don't know man, obviously I must be missing something, because OT's covers do get a fair deal of praise, yet I can't for the life of me see 'it'. Their covers are perhaps the least interesting about them. Maybe it's to do with faux colours or the bad 90s graffiti style they still go for, but I genuinely do not like them. Roger Dean on the other hand

Ozric's have some good ones for sure, like The Yum Yum tree, but others look really cheesy and amateurish (1995-2006) ------------- Crushed like a rose in the riverflow. |

I voted Yes for those great covers by Roger Dean, but not all of them are like that. I think Ozric Tentacles have more good album covers than Yes, and OT never showed a man's behind. Both these bands have bad album covers, though "The Hidden Land" by Ozrics is by far the worst.

Both have some beautiful, but also some really bad ones. Going with OT, as their lows aren't as low as Yes'. The Yes ones from '78 to '87 are absolutely dreadful, IMO. -------------

Can only vote for both....I really didn't expect the Ozrics to be quite so far behind! Even their more average albums (which are still decent!) still have wonderful artwork! When I first saw the cover of `Waterfall Cities' on my friend Tom Ozric's vinyl copy, it blew my mind! So that was the first Ozrics albums I bought....yet on lowly CD format! :( |

Though I love some of Yes's album covers vastly, I think that the Ozrics had more consistency. ------------- I am currently digging: Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz! Please drop me a message with album suggestions. |
