Alvin Lee,fantastic ripping guitarist and singer;
Mr.Lee was a huge influence on this Los Angeles guitarist Dale as a youth !!

ich bin geschockt.Einer der besten Rock-Gitarristen überhaupt...

Ten Years After toured the U.S. twenty-eight times in seven years more than any other UK band.

Er spielte in Woodstock den Song:"I´m going home" mit einer Wahnsinnsgeschwindigkeit.War glaube ich auch eine zeitlang der schnellste Gitarrist der Welt. Er lieferte mit "Ten Years After" spektakuläre Liveauftritte ab. Tja - nun ging er wirklich home.Lieber Alvin "Grüß mir meine Idole im Musikerhimmel" Ruhe in Frieden.

Seeing Ten Years After live was one damn big party! Alvin Lee was a great performer (and only Robin Trower made funnier faces while playing). When you say the words "Rock and Roll" that is what Alvin was playing.

Gone but not forgotten!

I Was at Reading in 83 to ,  that was the year i saw Alvin play in a small pub near Oxford , Alvin lived in Sonning Common near Reading   he would often be seen in the local Country Pub having a pint With Dave Gilmour , they were
neighbors  at the time. I remember  Randy California of Spirit was staying at Alvins place  he turned up at the pub one night to playing darts with Alvin and Ian Gilan

I've heard the new only now. One of the greatest guitarists I've ever seen playing live (with Tony Levin at bass that time).
Really a bad year, this year.
