Sorry, but not remotely Symphonic.
Not Prog IMO, electronic Yes, but not Prog.
Hard call for Prog Related IMHO.

Not Prog? WoW! I wonder if this isnt what is. And Ill not even enter on Iron Maiden and other cases.... |
1.- Iron Maiden isn't Prog either, they are in Prog Related
Not all of the bands that have been a part of the history and development of progressive rock are necessarily progressive rock bands themselves. This is why progarchives has included a genre called prog-related, so we could include all the bands that complete the history of progressive rock, whether or not they were considered full-fledged progressive rock bands themselves.

2.- Iron Maiden is a transcendental influence for Prog Metal, Eloy Fitsch is influenced mostly by Prog Related bands which don't grant the addition to Prog Related.
3.- Eloy Fitsch is not considered Prog in almost any place
a) Proggnosis: Doesn't include him as Symphionic, they say electronic/General Prog
b) Piero Scarulffi says:“Eloy Fritsch stands as the greatest Brazilian representative of the progressive eletronic and new age.”
Already Electronic Prog has said NO , so only New Age is left (Something with what i agree)
c) DPPR says: “Every track is choc full of sumptuous melodies and luxuriant layers of keyboards. There are many moments of impressionistic ambience but, whilst there are pretty melodies aplenty, it never quite stoops to the cloying sweetness beloved of many New Age artists. I would say that Vangelis was the biggest influence, particularly in the frequent use of choral samples.
As you know, Vangelis is in Prog Related, so his influence doesn't grant an inclusion, and again the New Age component is present
d) “Eloy FRITSCH performs an elegant electronic music that evolves between VANGELIS’ ambient & impressionist electronic, and the synthesised Progressive rock of masters such as Rick WAKEMAN or Patrick MORAZ. With "Space Music", the APOCALYPSE's brazilian keyboards player goes into parts that are worthy of those last two virtuosos.” Musea Editorial Review, 1998.
Of course we know that Musea wants tgo sell the album to their target audience (which is Prog listeners), but the word AMBIENT says it all
e)Progvisions says: “Mythology is a record that I've liked a lot personally. A record more symphonic than anything else creating some beautiful new age sound. Eloy Fritsch has been doing it like this from the beginning and he has become a master with great imagination and colors, you can't ask for more. Don't miss it.” Web site Progvisions - Jordi Costa - June 2002
Symphonic he isn't, that's for sure, and again the New Age moniker is present
I place Wikipedia as a reference:

As you see, New Age again
Reviews New Age, a site in Spanish devoted to New Age says
Exogenesis es el nuevo trabajo del que posiblemente sea el mayor exponente de la música electrónica y New Age en Brasil.
Translation: Exogenesis is the the latest work of the possibly bigest exponent of Brazilian Electronic Music and New Age

CD Universe says
Behind the Walls of Imagination is an album by new age artist Eloy Fritsch, known for his work in progressive rock group Apocalypse.
Eloy Fritsch is the keyboard player for the Progressive Rock group Apocalypse and as a solo artist he creates cosmic Electronic Music.
The tenth Eloy Fritsch CD brings Exogenesis electronic suite in four movements inspired by the genesis of the universe. In addition to this suite that references the first conceptual albums by Jean Michel Jarre, the CD ...

Now, Eloy has at least ten albums...It's important to know that only one or two are somehow Prog Related.
But as usual I trust more in my opinion, and I see him closer to New Age than to anything.
I know people don't like to listen that their suggested artist is not Prog, and much less receive several quotes which they see as arrogance or aggressive behavior.
That's not my intention, when I answer a suggestion, I have to support it, and my obligation is with Prog Archives, not with the artist.
Sorry, but I confirm my initial opinion.
Still, the Administrators have the last word on Prog Related, a decision I will accept without hesitation, because this is only my opinion and it's possible that i may be wrong according to other members criteria.
