All these albums are the second highest rated for each band on the PA list.  So, for example, "Fragile" is here instead of "Close To The Edge", and "Red" is here instead of "ITCOTCK".  Otherwise, it's voting as usual.

edit: apologies for leaving out your favourites - maybe I'll do a 'Part 2' later.

In a Silent Way by Miles Davis, which is my absolute favorite album of his.

Hmm. I really like several of these, but Storia di Un Minuto is important for being my first RPI album and what hooked me on Italian prog. A more spirited and rawer affair than Per Un Amico, but that's why I love it.

Pawn Hearts is the best.

Red is second

These 2 albums are probably in my personal top 3 (with Thick as a Brick).

A lot of good albums here, several of which I'd easily rate with 5 stars.

Came down to a toss up between Blackwater Park and Foxtrot, which make for 2 of my top 5 albums of all time. Went with Opeht since they need the votes but there's nothing in it between them.

10 votes for Genesis when all other options obtained no more than 5 votes. In general Genesis got only 25% though. It means that Genesis aficionados are not prevailing, they're just better organised Smile

Foxtrot is monumental masterpiece, anyway. But 'Red' is simply the best album in music history, at least for Wetton-loving crimheads Smile

Red. I would've liked to see Free Hand here, but I would probably still have voted for Red.

Red for me; the perfect KC album, while the Yes and Genesis album are IMO imperfect.

My second fave is Aqualung, as close to perfect as you can get IMO. I love all the great acoustic ditties and the more rockier longer songs.

I'm unable to vote either but there are 3 or 4 there I really like .....but if push comes to shove it has to be Red because of Starless.

Some reeeeally tough to decide options here.

Six months ago I would have said Foxtrot without a blink, but lately that album, outside of "Watcher of the Skies", isn't really doing it for me anymore for some reason (still a huge fan of the two albums prior and Lamb).

Blackwater Park has some of Opeth's best stuff, but "The Leper Affinity" & "Funeral Portrait" never really won me over...kind of "stock" Opeth tunes.

Since my youth, DSOTM has always hit a bit of a lull for me when "Us & Them" starts and ends after "Any Colour You Like".

I could go on concerning my reasonings with the other excellent albums here (no duds for sure), but I'll just say that for today I choose Fragile. It's grown on me a lot lately, and all the major tunes are fantastic as well as some of the individual little buggers in-between, including Jon's weird but real catchy contribution.

Foxtrot is my favourite Gabriel era Genesis album so that gets my vote although Red runs it close.

I'm going with Foxtrot but only because it has been in my collection the longest other than DSOTM which I wouldn't vote for anyway.

Tie between Hemispheres and Foxtrot, though I'll give Hemispheres some love since not many others are doing so Unhappy. Those are my favorite albums by Rush and Genesis.

Fragile, Red, and Metropolis would all follow very closely behind though.

1 Mirage (even though I think it's their 3rd best album)
2 Foxtrot
3 Aqualung (even though I think it's their best)
4 Dark Side of the Moon
5 Hemispheres
6 Blackwater Park
7 Storia di un Minuto
8 Fragile (which is their 4th best album for me)

The rest are not to my taste.

There are albums in the list I would kill for. They reflect my general band's preferences. In general I prefer Floyd to Camel but I prefer Mirage to DSOTM and Aqualung is my favorite Tull album. Fragile is another masterpiece and.....well, no vote.
