Angelicas Elegy and the Gold Celeste is a Norwegian band who plays a style similar to Mercury Rev and with a slight touch of psych and space, and influenced by bands like

Angelica’s Elegy plays sparkling pop songs sent through experimental and melodic lo-fi filters - elegantly filled with angelic vocals, playful bass lines, dusty analog synths, soft piano chords and insistent drums. Delicious Norwegian indie churned through tape recorders, tube amps and modified old electric organs.

Put in some Disneyesque backing vocals, noisy guitars and otherwordly voices and you get a wonderful blend of melancholic lo-fi indie rock. Well hidden inbetween organic and dreamy instrumental textures we find Angelica’s Elegy’s musical stories of the sea, the good old days and the moon.
