I don't know if everyone saw this article from The Quietus last year, in which Geddy Lee names his favorite albums. Some surprises here. (Fleet Foxes? WTF?) I know a couple of members of Marillion also name Joni Mitchell as one of their favorites. I *love* Blue, so I think it's pretty cool... Here's the article if you're interested:  http://thequietus.com/articles/09210-rush-geddy-lee-interview-favourite-albums" rel="nofollow - http://thequietus.com/articles/09210-rush-geddy-lee-interview-favourite-albums

I don't hate them. I just find it a curious choice, one I wouldn't have expected from Geddy Lee. Come to think of it, that should have been the poll right there: "Which of these surprises you the most?" Oh well, a missed chance Unhappy

Sorry, I recognize that China has a very interesting culture, probably is full of very nice people, and that your wife likes to visit where (I presume) she grew up. Just can't see why any one would want to go to there when it has such a horrific government.

I don't like America very much, but I don't really like any place. The whole human race is corrupted and this is one of the only places where that corruption can have the least affect on my life. Or at least that's how I see it.

Something strange about the notion of voting for your favorite from a legend's favorites.

No vote since I haven't heard them all.

I read he loved Relayer back in the day----I love Yes Genesis and Joni Mitchell the best of these--but I like most of them---and think most of them are better or rather more interesting than a any Rush album.

Wellllllll, I thought it would be an interesting topic for discussion, but I realized later I should have couched it differently, like, "Which of these surprises you the most?" Oh well... I tried to delete it and start it over again, but the delete option seems to work in mysterious ways, coming and going at will... LOL

If you don't mind, could you delete my comments from your post? I regretted my statements and quickly went back and deleted them, but you caught them before that. I don't want to insult anyone with my stupid comments :-) Sorry about that. Thank you Big smile

Although it's certainly interesting to learn which albums Mr Lee rates highly, why not just give us 2 options i.e. do you think Geddy's musical taste sucks, yes or no?

Nursury Cryme (my favorite Genesis album).
Not a bad option concerning the list, although I've never heard Fleet Foxes.

Cream.

I genuinely think Clapton was a better guitarist, back when he was bewildered, flirting with dadaism and seriously on drugs.

Zep 1 is probably my favorite out of these, but Geddy has some good taste.

Geddy has good tast in music (which is only to be expected).  I once read he regarded Ian Anderson as a great producer.  I voted Tull this time.

He loved Squire who was a big influence---said he thought Gate of Delirium was amazing---it is---too bad Rush can't sound as amazing.

Jethro Tull's presence in any poll will win my vote. A close second on this list would have been Bjork. A bit disappointed that OK Computer i on the list but oh well
