| I've been searching desperately for something new to listen to and I can't seem to find anything. Please Help! I've been a mostly a metal head most of my life. I've been getting into somewhat more progressive neo metal lately like Between the Buried and Me, Devin Townsend and such but I think I have found all the good stuff in that area so I'm trying to move into somewhat more mellow territory. Maybe some kinda celtic/pagan/earthy sort of stuff... I don't know exactly or I could probably find it myself... any suggestions? |

Some fresh pop by the late 60's' standards (I think): Same dude, different time, absolutely different style: Yep. Same dude. Ha-ha. Some 25-30 years later. Want something even more mellow? How well are you doing on KC and VdGG? Still, casual listens are the best. If you wanted to make music, what style would you like it to be? Got a favorite instrument?

Well Prog Folk is the right place to start  Bluehorses Comus Current 93 Faun Faun Fables Gjallarhorn Larkin Grimm Jan Dukes de Grey Long Live Death Mormos Scarlet Thread Spires That in the Sunset Rise Tempest Wovenhand Zyle Kukly Not all of that is Celtic (most of it isn't) but there's plenty of pagan, medieval and earthy sounding stuff there to whet your whistle. ------------- "Peace is the only battle worth waging." All excellent choices. Haven't heard Earthstone yet though. Thanks for the tip! Sad Minstrel's album is awesome, lots of energy and variety and passion and a sense of humor. Also the best packaging I've seen since The Way We Live's 'Candle for Judith' and Rasputina's 'Melora a la Basilica'.
