The annual http://www.rosfest.com/" rel="nofollow - Rites of Spring Festival takes place in Gettysburg, USA in just over a month. Is there any chance of seeing someone else from Progarchives at that festival?

A rather good line-up this year too I'd say:

Friday:
Bolus (Canada)
The Flower Kings (Sweden)

Friday night after party:
Kingcrow (Italy)

Saturday:
Jolly (USA)
Pain of Salvation (Sweden)
Believe (Poland)
Riverside (Poland)

Sunday:
Dream the Electric Sleep (USA)
Moetar (USA)
Asturias (Japan)
Shadow Gallery (USA)

I have never travelled to see a festival before, and suspect that I probably never will.  Concert ticket prices are expensive enough without throwing travel and lodging on top of it.  That being said, if there was any chance in hell of talking one of my friends into going with me, I would probably concsider it.  Friday and Saturday look splendid.  I am only familiar with Shadow Gallery on Sunday, but suspect that that will be a good day too.

This would have been my first ROSfest if I wasn't moving across country and starting a new job the week before. Great line-up.

Average lineup IMO. Some acts I'd like to see, others not so much.

Either way, I won't be there.

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

I'll be there - a mere 3 hour drive for me.
Hoping this will fill in for my beloved dear-departed NEARFest!

Love to, but I'm heading to Baja next week!!  Work won't allow me two festivals that close together.  Pretty damn excited about BajaProg though!

Given my phobia of flying, I'm afraid I won't be there, but I'd love to have seen Riverside and The Flower Kings at least.

I'm still on the fence.  Honestly, I don't know if tickets are still available.  It's a month away.  If tickets are still available and I can swing it financially, I'll go, if you can get individual days then yeah, I'll totally go for The Flower Kings and Riverside.  It will be a game time decision, I really hope to make it.

That happens with just about any prog festival. Anyway, I wonder how many seats are left for Rosfest?

Not too many I think. Last I talked with George I got the impression that sales were pretty good. But still some left. When the individual show tickets go on sale in a week or so I kind of assume that the combined tickets will be a tad harder to get though.

Similar situation for me. I just moved across the country, otherwise I most definitely would have considered

Just spent several thousand dollars on Cruise To The Edge, so sorry no...
Some worthy bands there, though!

You should start a thread on the Cruise to the Edge. I saw some video clips on another prog site but the weird thing is I didn't really recognize anyone in the audience. I saw a clip of "I know what I like." Smile

I'm getting closer and closer to going, I'm now at the 'gauging how much grief I'll get from my wife' stage of the process.  I've got a couple of different scenarios, Friday for sure, but I may get a Saturday ticket as well, Riverside rocks.  I'm trying to see if I can recruit someone to share a hotel room with but I think it may happen.

Olav, thanks for the Facebook recommendation, I 'liked' the page but didn't see the 'people looking to unload tickets' posts, admittedly, I only scanned.

But yeah, assuming I make it, I'd love to meet some of you all.

Much as I'd love to go the airfare across the atlantic makes it a bit of a no-noWink.

Seems like those posts disappeared again yeah. Probably sold. If I see anyone else with spare tickets I'll post here.

Thanks Olav, I unfortunately don't think I'm going to be able to make it after all, but I appreciate the info.  If something does change, I'll be sure to post here.
