I posted a topic in December talking about my band (The whole Key), but now, I'd like to introduce myself and my solo project.
In order to talk about my project I'd like to start talking about my musical tastes and why this project has been made. First songs came out in 2009, when I still was in my (let's call it) high school band. This was a progressive metal band, kinda like Dream Theater, and I played in this band since 2007. As I grew up, my musical tastes were changing, specially when I moved into RPI, Jazz and subsequently into Zeuhl. I wanted to create something more near to that kind of genere, so it was hard for me to manage my musicians into that genre, which after all they didn't like. So after I left that band and moved to "The Whole Key", I started to create my own songs. Though I'm really into The Whole Key's music becouse I like to compose with the guys and love that music, I always wanted to tribute my favourite musician and their music, specially the one that helped me changing and growing up musically. I'm talking about bands which I loved and still love today like Magma, Koenjihyakkei, Banco, ELP, Area, Camel, Korekyojinn, Hatfield and the North, Picchio dal Pozzo... The list would never end! Anyway I composed a lot of stuff but never satisfied until 2011 when for the first time I posted two my songs in Jamendo, in a little EP, which I considered the best once I discovered the site. Since then I stopped composing for myself becouse I had problems with my pc and I'm also a university student so I hadn't much time for resetting up all my gears. Only recently got myself into recordings, so now I'm working on some new material! But I'm still searching for musicians who like this music and would like to play it..! Now, before you listen to my two track I have something to tell you: I made all this by playing my keyboard and controlling virtual instruments into my pc, so I don't know if this would stand up your standard of sound quality. If you like the songs please leave a review into Jamendo, I'll really appriciate and would help me a lot! Smile I made Pholas Dactylus's Rinaldo Linati and Potemkine Phil Goubin to listen to this, and they liked my music! I even written what Rinaldo said about my music, he commented my link on facebook! Big smile Anyway, the EP is also downloadable so I hope you enjoy my music and good listening to all of you!
