Both are great, but you have to give it to Kevin Gilbert! Paul Gilbert is a fantastic guitarist, but Kevin Gilbert was so much more. He was a gifted singer, songwriter and musician.

Paul Gilbert is some hack manneristic shredder. He makes Satriani look like John Coltrane.

Kevin Gilbert is perhaps the greatest songwriter of the 90's and on (I don't think of Steven Wilson as a "songwriter").
