I need someone to do the artwork of my prog project. I'm actually working at studios, and the lack of time is delaying the progress. But I'm looking for any great artist. The project main theme is sci-fi. But I really love Yes cover art and this kind of fantastic environment present on prog albums. Maybe some sci-fi detailed environment would be great. Any artists here, or any reccomendations? Thanks!

There's a guy called Greg Broadmore that does cool mech/sci-fi art.

Don't know how much you would need to pay him, he's a pro so I don't think he would do it for free.

Some examples of his work:

Maybe you could get Away from Voivod to create an album cover for you.

I have sent an e-mail to Away two years ago, when I was looking for the cover art for my death metal/experimental project Turtopsy. I received the reply few months ago, with apologies, he couldn't work on it because of the Target Earth recording. I'm not in the mood to wait several months, maybe one year, for another reply. But I'm a big fan of him, and all of his works, painting and music.

I ran into an artist here on progarchives just last week.  Maybe she can help you out?   http://www.progarchives.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=30515" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=30515   That's her profile.  She seems really nice/talented/ready for a challenge.Handshake

After a bit of hunting around it looks as though Sonia did the recent Corvus Stone album cover.  Very nice!  I couldn't see any other examples of her work though.

Greg Broadmore is very, very impressive as well.

Within sci-fi there are a lot of different styles though, and it depends on what you're after.  Here are a few I've found:

Andree Wallin

Yigit Koroglu

Not sure on prices.  I have a feeling they wouldn't come cheap.  Smile

Yes, I had a nice little conversation with her about that Corvus Stone artwork.  She was also fairly eager to show me the rest of her artwork.  Maybe I should take her up on the offer.

Aww, I've only seen this post now, my apologies for this late reply which obviously should not matter anymore.
I am really flattered however I only paint and draw as a hobby. I am not a professional artist (nor do I plan to be become one) unfortunately I do not accept any consignment artwork for other artists except Corvus Stone and Colin Tench.
Again, thank you so much, big hugs xxx
Sonia

Presumably as long as you don't write the artist and album names?

I highly recommend Ed Unitsky, he is a brilliant artist, produced many albums for various prog artists many of them very well known or high profile. He is also very affordable Thumbs UpHug https://www.facebook.com/ed.unitsky.official?fref=ts" rel="nofollow - https://www.facebook.com/ed.unitsky.official?fref=ts
