Highly surprised that this band isn't already on the archives yet.

Leafblade is a collaboration project between Sean Jude (acoustic guitar & vocals) and Anathema's Danny Cavanagh (acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and backing vocals), which started in 2003. They're playing atmospheric acoustic folk rock highly inspired by celtic motiffs.

By now they released one full-length album 'Beyond, Beyond', which came out in 2009, and one EP 'To the Moonlight' (2006). Their second studio album is coming soon.

Highly recommended for both fas of Anathema & other melancholic rock groups, as well as celtic/folk music aficionados.

Mostly sounds like acoustic folk rock but we'll see what the PF team makes of it.

So what would be the decision/any more opinions on that? A criminal silence when we're talking on a famous prog band founder's side project Confused

It's still under consideration by the Prog Folk Team.

Btw their new album is much more prog-oriented that 'Beyond, Beyond', sadly there's only one song on YouTube which is already in the thread.

Hi there :) Just came across this post during a google search, and thought I'd register to reply :)

I'm Pete, one of the longtime members of Leafblade (I can independently verify this if needed), and I wanted to thank you for including us on the prog archives site :) This means a lot to us, as we do consider ourselves to be a progressive band, and we reflect this in a lot of our material, some of which is drawn from earlier days when Sean and Kev were in a band called "Valle Crucis" and more so in current and forthcoming music. The debut album does stray away from progressiveness quite a bit though. I think the plan at the time was to try to compile something that followed simpler song structures, and also didn't require too much in the way of Drums or Percussion (as at the time we did not have anyone to fill that role).

I would like to point people to our current band page on facebook, as the old myspace site is no longer being maintained.

Once again, thanks very much to the OP, ClemofNazareth for adding it and to the community :)

ClemofNazareth, if there is anything I can do to help provide up to date info for the bio, let me know :)
