I don't know if this has come up before or not, but was curious which classic version of these two cartoons was your favorite?  I loved them both, but Bugs has it by an ear for me!

Oh no, not that Bugs v Pink poll again!

Anyway, if I must then Bugs is laugh out loud funny and PP is mildly amusing.  So the Rabbit Gets It! (That's all)

Bugs Bunny - but only when Mel Blanc did the voice.

However, The Pink Panther has better theme music than Looney Tunes.

Bugs wins because he practiced psychological warfare.

Pink Panther wins over Bugs - got the entire box set of P.P. DVD's and enjoy it every so often.  'The Inspector' is even better LOL.............this little French dude has me in hysterics no matter how many times I watch my collection.  There is an episode entitled 'Cirrhosis Of The Louvre' - man, what's with that red blotch of paint....??

There's a hilarious episode where the P.P. is chasing a dime all over the city - it rolls into an elevator and goes to the top floor, Pink takes the umpteen flights of stairs and is knackered by the time he reaches the top, only for the coin to roll out of the elevator and straight into the elevator going down.  Pink just kind of 'melts' and slinkys back down the flights of stairs - the sound effect is beyond insane - like pulling out a plug on the record player and it keeps going, just slowing down (or like pitch bending a Hammond note LOL).  My maturity is showing Embarrassed.........

Hi,

C'mon ... musically, the Pink Panther was more progressive ... but fudge, no one remembers the music except one funny Goon, who played it all from all of the soundtrax ... and they were great!

The Toons are ok, but "progressive" is the word that Chuck used for their rocket designs ... that NASA stole from them according to this book, and NEVER paid them for it! Not a single nickel! But the music in it was very cool, and a complete throw back to some of the early TV and Radio stuff done in America and England with fun stuff.

I mean ... Warner Brothers cartoons and Spike Milligan, virtually invented all the sound effects that everyone ever used ... right?

I'm mildly aghast....Pinky had precisely zero personality and even if Bugs was an assh*le, must have constituted a more sympathetic critter than the former? (Si I mean Oui) The jacques cloussau episodes dwarfed the surrounding PP storylines in my book.

Not meaning to be a nerd, but PP's humor was more adult, surrealistic and 'progressive', while Bugs' was more childish and straightforward IMO.

And Bugs did not have this Tongue

Bugs Bunny was really for adults. Best ones were with TAZ. All those Merry Melodies cartoons started back in the forties as cinema shorts that played before main features before the days of previews. But that car was way cool but was never street legal.
