Hey! My tape player still works! Big smile

Listening to the Black Album by Metallica now. Haven't listened to it in ages! I've got it only on a cassette...

OK so there's nothing in my tape machine. and I'm not sure it even works.

I did however pick up a tape a couple of weeks ago and concidered playing it.

It is an EMI 120 cassette (probably the only 120 I own for good reason).  The cover is turned back  so the EMI cover shows and not what the music is.  It originally had BOC 'On Your Feet or On your Kneees' and Boston on the other side.

Now it has a recording of Genesis at Knebworth 78 taped off radio 1 just after the concert (the following weekend).  Sadly it not complete.  Not because I didn't tape all of it, but because the BBC didn't air the whole concert - idiots.  Now I don't think a full recording of it is available!

Dust, all my cassettes were destroyed in the flood.  Lost some good live stuff recorded off the radio, too.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I still have and use my four track tape recorder. Nothing's in it at the moment but a couple of weeks ago I had a tape of a recent band rehearsal.

I don't dare to use my tape player again: the last time I tried to listen to Girlschoo's "Take A Bite", my record player almost "ate" it! ShockedAngry

I even brought my 4 track recorder into work today.  Recorded rehearsal last night and I was curious to see how it turned out.   Probably time I went digital.  I've had this thing since 1989.

I played a solo gig the other night, recorded it on tape as ever (I love tapes, I have hundreds) and it's the most recent tape in my tape deck, though nothing is in there right now.
