I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Hawkwind V Gong polls are like buses.  You wait a year or so for one and then two come at once!

Oh God, that's very true. Having listened to Hawkwind since the late 70's, I have to say that the band's changed so much that the question "Which Hawkwind ??? " now applies. The early 70's "proper" space rock stuff ? Or anything after 1980, where I utterly turn off, as Hawkwind seems to have become no more than Dave Brock's Pension Fund ?

As for Gong, very rarely has a band left me colder.

Hawkwind? I don't get Hawkwind. I try to like Hawkwind. I can't figure out in what they are Prog. All I ever hear is thrash guitar more like punk. They have some long songs. Maybe that's it. Gong all the way for me, thank you.

I was a Hawkwind hater for many years then a friend loaned me "Warrior on the Edge of Time" and "Quark Strangeness and Charm" and I saw the light.  I think those are the proggiest albums in the Hawkwind discog Thumbs Up

Thanks. I have tried like them mainly because of the connection with Michael Moorcock. I'll try to keep an open mind and check those out, probably on YouTube first. All my Hawkwind albums are on vinyl, which I never bothered to digitize.
