Anyone have any stories of finding gems/rare/unexpected LP's in bargain bins ?

A handful in the past but most of the interesting/obscure  things I have were from trades with people I knew locally who had large collections or at record shows.

I once found a copy of "Freak Out" by Zappa (vinyl) in a $2 bin.  The album itself was pretty scratched but I got it anyway.

Can't say I've found much of worth in bargain bins... besides Air Bud: Spikes Back. What a film.

No. Never. I've always had to search hard and pay hard for the music I love.
I never by used albums, so that is most likely why. :)

Geologists say that gleaming jewels can be found in fields of sh*t, and that applies to music as well.  I've found a few good 'uns in the dollar bins, most notably Colosseum's Daughter Of Time and Opeth's Morningrise.  Also found Solefald's Pills Against the Ageless Ills in a cd rack at a junk store, along with all the used '90s alt-rock and pop.
