I just learned about this collaboration between Chino Moreno of Deftones and three former members of ISIS, called Palms. I've heard snippets of their recently released self-titled album, and it sounds like really laid back, almost ambient music. Bought it at the store over the weekend. Listened to it once so far. Your impressions are correct. No harsh vocals; Pretty laid back sound. Good, but I need to listen more to say more.
