| Has anyone bought or plan to buy Rush Vapor Trails (Remixed)? I listened to the original today, and find it an enjoyable album. I listened to samples of this remix version, and it does sound a little clearer. I am wondering about thoughts on this one. It is easy to get burned out constantly re-buying the same albums over and over again. |

It is funny about the complaints about the original recording. People are saying it is unlistenable. I am listening to it right now and enjoying it. |

I've never had a problem with the original either. But I am curious to listen to the remix to see if I notice any difference.

Spotify has The Studio Albums 1989-2007 on it; including Vapor Trails. I assume that it is the remix version. -------------

| Amazon is selling the original mix of the CD for $4.99 and the new mix for $9. There are some negative reviews from Rush faithful, but more positive reviews. I like the original CD a lot, so I am undecided. |

Vapor Trails Remixed streaming! Geddy's bass sounds warmer, incredibly...it's also more distinct, more audible on "One Little Victory." This sounds good!

I have been listening to my original CD copy since 2002, back then I never had a problem and now that I understand all this loudness wars stuff, which is an issue......I still think it is fine, at least on my system it sounds pretty nice. The couple songs that were remixed for the Retrospective III, sounded good.....So I will be getting this remix album, but on vinyl once my local store has it. -------------

| I had a listen to the remixed version yesterday and its certainly a little 'softer'. I think some tracks like Ghost Rider and Earthshine fair better than others on the new mix. Not sure whether overall I prefer it or not but at least its an alternative to go to and wasn't too expensive. |

Honestly I don’t like the Vapor Trails
Remix that much. It certainly isn’t bad, in fact, several parts of the
music benefit from the remixing, especially the ones drowned out in the
original. But over all it feels unsatisfactory; it just doesn’t feel
right. Granted, I’ve been familiar with this album sense I was a
toddler, so I’m very accustomed to the original.

| I bought the box. Vapor Trails is very clean sounding and not overly loud. What really sounds great though is "Presto". Wow! Wow! Wow! Worth it for "Presto" alone. |
