Wow. RIP Richard. I wonder if this will affect Caravan's appearance at Rosfest next year.

Mr Traveller, I'm pretty sure he hadn't been drumming for some time with them, even though he's always been at the concerts with the rest of the band. Pretty sure someone was brought in a while back to cover some gigs?

I think he was recording the upcoming new album with the band, though I'm not sure whether his recordings were completed or not?

Sorry, all quite vague, hopefully someone can confirm some of these details?

Mark Walker is Caravan's drummer these days and he is on the new album, so there will be no delay to that recording or to any gigs. The band have recorded a song which I'm sure will be dedicated to Richard on the new album

RIP. I gave another listen to L'Auberge du Sanglier/A-Hunting We Shall Go, the more since my thoughts were focused on 19/8 by another drummer.

L'Auberge du Sanglier is my favourite Caravan track. Appropriately melancholic for the situation.

^^ Ahhh what a priceless piece of vintage quality film made all the more special in monochrome. I think that has Steve Miller on keys and whilst Richard Sinclair played on the album Waterloo Lily, I think this is John G Perry on bass?? Could be mistaken, he has his own entry on PA as a solo artist. Great footage of Richard Coughlan too, thanks for sharing.
