RIO has announced Magma, Offering, Doctor Nerve, Le Silo, Artaud Beats, Stabat Akish, Caillou & Ni as the first seven bands for the Sept 19th to 21st Festival in Carmaux France

Magma have become a regular at the festival having played 2007, 2009 & 2012 so that may disappoint quite a few but I've only seen them once so will be looking forward to them again & they certainly help the draw of the festival.

Nice!

Has Frith ever performed at RIO (as a solo act)?

One of the most talented and prolific avant-prog bands around: 2 albums in 2013, both quite distinct from each other within the broad area of rock-in-opposition filled with jazz-rock, nu-jazz and Canterbury nuances.
