Not posted here for a long while but today please let me recommend a Japanese promising combo The BROWN.

A Japanese rock combo The BROWN were founded in September, 2003. Through changing their formation a couple of times, a guitarist Katsuhiro ATARI (Atari.K) has given them heavy guitar buzz since 2006 and a bassist Yasu TAKANORI (Takanori.Y) deep rhythmic waves since 2007. Their first album "Struggle In A Whirl" was released in August 2007. Lots of gigs have been done mainly around Osaka ... and to be continued.Replies:

The Leaf Changing 12. Burning Mirage 2nd Album "HELLO!! WHO ARE YOU?" (2009) 1. Day of end 2. Create the new world 3. Enemy 4. tragic prayer -Aesthetics of ruin- 5. In the cradle 6. Progressive town 7. Hunter 8. Puppet or me 9. Melody 10. Zigzag 11. Stray sheep 12. Pulsation From these samples, and the three on myspace, I think I'd be tempted to go with Crossover rather than Heavy...but it's a close call, and Andy may have other ideas.

^ Yeah, I heard this too, which is why I would tend to go with Crossover rather than Heavy Prog. Maybe Keishiro can provide you with something to listen to from 'MelloW'? All I found was a video promoting the tour to support the new EP: And this short clip:  |

They are very much in the school in TMV. While they could fit in crossover, they could just as easily fit in Heavy. One more vote and they're in.
