I have heard a lot of people say that they are not willing to finish their meal when they find a hair in it. Although it might be pretty disgusting, I think it's ridiculous to instantly dismiss the food. What do you think?
P. S., if you like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, you can vote that too.

I've heard that humans swallow several pieces of hair during a day, so I don't mind not swallowing one, and continue my meal.

If I would make a problem of this, I would be hungry more often.

With 'wut', you don't know, and with OFOTCN it doesn't matter what you think as long as you like OFOTCN.

For the people who wonder whose hair it's about, just imagine that you're in a restaurant and it's the waitress's hair.

a finger nail or tow nail would be more repulsive then a piece of hair in the food, but hair is also semi-repulsive in food and such

I probably would eat a bit more before losing my appetite, like that one time I found a roach leg in my shrimp-fried rice.

according to chinese homeopathic medicine, ceratine (form Rhino horm), is good for cancer and prostata (cancer), so a bowl of hair soup should be recomended to all, since hair and rhino horn is of similar substance (and whale teeths and narwhale horns/tooth/tusk.

I knew you were gonna ask that! She's a 6/10, slightly chubby and definitely too young for you.

whoaa definitely too young, so I guess my answer now is no I probably wouldn't eat it. Unless its just one hair and I'm hungry I'd let it slide.  As for the soup... not fingernails they could get stuck in appendix. that'd be ouch

You are only as old as the woman you feel. LOLWink  Admittedly, I shan't be feeling no 17 year olds any time ever again.

In answer to the question, I think it would depend on how hungry I was and what my mood was.   I'd say that over my many, many years I have probably both just went ahead and ate the food and have also sent it back and got a new meal made.

Is eating hair cannibalistic?

I've seen what happens when my cats eat hair and anyone whose read Neil Gaiman's Sandman series will know of trichobezoar. In light of that I tend to avoid eating hair regardless of whose it is.

With hair in food I'll send it back - it should not be there, it shows a lapse in food hygiene and it should be brought to the attention of the restaurant so they can deal with it. Together with natural hair grease and sweat most people's hair contains "hair product", whether that is shampoo residue, conditioner, gel, wax, and it is also contaminated by airborne pollutants such as soot and carbon monoxide, and if the hair is there then other head detritus is likely to be present too - while the concentrations of these are infinitesimal and harmless it is the fact that the kitchen/waiting staff can allow it into the food they prepare and serve is of greater concern. Of course with sending any food back in a restaurant there is no guarantee that the replacement isn't laced with chef's spit or worse.

Happy eatin'

I'd send it back also.........and ask for a new plate,  especially if it's a $35.00 filet mignon.

I have a good immune system.

I'd pick the hair out of my food, though.

The real question is if you found a meal in your hair would you finish it.
