I have been on the PA forums almost everyday since early 2010, and have never seen mention of this amazing group fronted by the under-rated guitarist Frank Marino. I have recently got back into listening to their early albums and really enjoying what they have to offer. (the second and third records known as Child Of The Novelty and Strange Universe have a definite proggish side to them) Any other fans out there? Maybe someone who saw them live? The Hendrix inspired, soaring guitar work is quite something. |

 I remember on Canadian FM radio hearing "Dragonfly" from the fourth record quite a bit back in the day. |

The best reference material for the uninitiated is Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live (1978). An absolutely wicked set of hard rock, containing one of the best versions of "Who Do You Love" and "Purple Haze" I've ever heard. I recall Child of the Novelty and Strange Universe and some of my friends in college played them....not many people caught onto them back in the day. Good guitarist but the songs never grabbed me. ------------- One does nothing yet nothing is left undone. Haquin |

I'm a fan. There is definitely a lot of jazz influence as well.
