ROCK ITTERVOORT
2014: Progmetal from all over Europe

THRESHOLD (UK), KINCROW (IT) and
NEM-Q (NL) are
the band for the 8th edtion of ROCK ITtervoort. For Threshold and
Kingcrow is it a exclusive show for The Netherlands
ROCK ITtervoort is an annual prog-event,
which will take place at the 11th of April 2014 at C.C. de Mortel in Ittervoort
(NL). Ittervoort is situated in the
Euregio, in the south of the Netherlands,
nearby Germany and Belgium.
In previous editions of ROCK ITtervoort bands as Arena, Pendragon and Riverside did some
outstanding and mostly sold-out shows. In these years we had visitors from many
European countries and even from Turkey,
Norway and the US.
Threshold are one of the leading lights of the progressive metal scene. Bolstered
by the return of their original vocalist Damian Wilson (Star One), Threshold
has release their ninth studio album “March of Progress” through Nuclear Blast
Records in 2012. After their show in Ittervoort they will return to studio for
recording their next cd,
Kingcrow is one of the most exciting bands that Italy has to offer nowadays.
Describing their sound is quite a difficult task, but one could state that the
influence of such artists as Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Opeth, Orphaned Land or
even Dream Theater in their more subtile moments are all present in the music
of Kingcrow.
The dutch abnd Nem-Q plays
progressive rock/metal. The five-piece band from Nederweert produces a unique
blend of melodic rock/metal, jazz/fusion rhythms and pop rock In 2012 yhey made
the concept album ‘301.81’ which shows the development Nem-Q has gone through. This
distinguishes itself from its predecessor by more complex melodies and vocal
lines, heavier riffs and a much darker tone. The album was once again very well
received.
We’re convinced that these three bands will make ROCK
ITtervoort 2014 even successful as previous editions. So don’t miss it !!
