New Gong Album & European Tour Dates - The Launch ...god bless her and all who sail...
[posted Fri 11 Apr]

Yes indeedy, spread the word, tell the neighbours, send up the smoke signals and flash those heliographs - the  http://www.planetgong.co.uk/gigs/gong_c.shtml" rel="nofollow - Gong 2014 dates and tours  are all confirmed and the new studio album (currently in many files and under a small trilby hat) will soon be expertly formed and 'in the can'. The word to disemminate on the web goes....

The crazy joyful and eternally renewable world of Gong tours Europe in 2014 with a sparkling new studio album entitled 'I See You' due for release on 1st September 2014 through Madfish.

Daevid Allen & merry pranksters are back with not only a new album but a potent and colourful line-up that includes Cardiacs guitarist Kavus Torabi, 21st Century asteroid guitar man Fabio Golfetti, virtuoso hornsman Ian East 'wind' on saxoflutes, plus sinuous bassist and sonic manipulator Dave Sturt trading sparks with the flamedog Orlando Allen's fiery drumming.

Dynamic, unexpected, whimsical, brilliant chops and huge fun.

The band will be touring extensively to promote their new album

Your company is most respectfully requested - it just won't be the same without you.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

I already bought my ticket two months ago, Tel Aviv concert is in July
Allen, Golfetti and Kavus Torabi (also from the excellent Knifeworld!!) on the same stage, this will be so good.
Four years ago Gong toured with Hillage, I'll never forget that concert...

The samples sound fantastic. This is set to be yet another classic from the Gong band.

I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.
