Decent band but I like you namesake band Phideaux better.

CBP is quickly turning into one of my favourite bands. A great mixture between doom and psych influences.

By the way, they're on tour in Europe right now!

In 2013, I discovered CBP with the fantastic double CD (Mankind) The Crafty Ape (2012).  (18/20)

Heard an album of theirs and found it okay, though nowhere as heavy as their name and several members' past careers had led me to expect.

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=36454" rel="nofollow - (Mankind) The Crafty Ape  is their best album IMO. It has a floydian atmosphere and heavy sound - it's a nice combination.

Se Delan: The Fall (UK/Sweden-2014).
It is a duo between Justin Greaves (Crippled Black Phoenix) and the singer Belinda Kordic. (17/20).

^Just lately aware of this band's work but beneath the Steve Wilson sense of gloom I feel a heavy Floyd undertone. Am I even close?

I love the CBP sound; thick, heavy and emotive. (Mankind) The Crafty Ape is pretty floydian, it's CBP most 'classic prog' album, but it's not derivative. Its a good album, though I have not idea why I, Vigilante is the lowest rated on PA except the debut!

I heard 'Human Nature Dictates the Downfall of Humans' a few months back and needed to explore the albums!
