Splash is a jazz rock/fusion band from Switzerland
Nuevo Mexico is a prog folk band from Mexico.

Good albums :

Nuevo Mexico : Hecho En Casa (1975)
Splash : Splash 2 (1978)

Very good bands.

Hi there

If you are suggesting these bands for inclusion in PA, then you need to offer up some material of theirs, either by way YouTube vids or links to whatever listening sites you can think of. Also: what sub genre are you suggesting them for?
It might be a good idea to create a thread for each band as well.

^ Ah, you beat me to it David! Smile

Nuevo Mexico sounds like a good candidate for the site... heavy folksy flute-driven prog.

The only Splash I could find was http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Splash_%28musikgrupp%29" rel="nofollow - this Swedish band... couldn't find a Swiss band by the same name.

... but as David said, better for each artist to have their own thread.

The Splash that floflo79 refers to was definitely a Swedish band:

These two tracks formed a single:

2nd (s/t) album

1st album 'Ut på Vischan!':

Live (filmed in Norway in 1973):

Nice stuff!!  Cool

Yes, you're right.

Apostolis appears to be quite familiar with Nuevo México: See his review of their debut album (including band bio) on RYM: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/nuevo_mexico/hecho_en_casa/" rel="nofollow - http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/nuevo_mexico/hecho_en_casa/

Here is the other track ('Preludio') which completes the YouTube sampling of this album:

And the band playing 'Sinfonía de rock No.1' live:

well said David, not among the best bands i have listened to, the album is decent but it hasn't aged well to my ears.Still they worth an inclusion in the site, Prog Folk could be an option, I agree completely.
