I have just bought  A Matter of Life and Death (apparently now out of print?) and it is really good - he reminds me a bit of a less cynical Ian Anderson, very folky English, melodic and with intelligent lyrics. Anyone else heard of the wonderful Guy??  He also played on The Tangent's first album (vox, guitars, keys) and contributed to PO90 ... clearly a very talented chap - but apparently not too  well known??

ANY THOUGHTS?

I like his work.I initially got turned on to him through The Tangent, then got turned on to Po90 from there.I downloaded his sampler at his site last year and really liked what I heard.I have The Ragged Curtain and The View from My Window cd's(  ),but haven't heard A Matter of Life and Death.

I have the Ragged Curtain and A Matter of Life and Death.  He has a new one coming out soon, called "One Small Step" I believe.  I'm looking forward to it as I really enjoy the two cd's I already have of his.

Classy prog folk. Manning is an awesome lyricist and musician. He is criminally underappreciated.

Why is this thread under Non-Prog Music, btw?
