I'm sorry but Buckethead is definitely prog !
I know that there is many topics about it but for me, he is really prog :
- long song
- virtuosity
- complexity
etc...
He got it all...

We can add it in Eclectic Prog, Prog Metal or Prog Related or RIO/Avant Prog.

Oh no not again
Also if you're that eager to get him on PA, then why haven't you made a proper suggestion? No music, bio, links, basically nothing that can be evaluated.

A quick search through Suggest New Artists suggests he's been proposed/discussed on 11 previous occasions, so I think it's time to knock this one on the head.

Oh, and long songs, virtuosity and complexity don't make him prog.

This guy is never going to go away, is he?...And one day he will be added...somewhere, somehow.

Proggnosis have him: http://www.proggnosis.com/ARTIST_DETAIL.aspx?AID=1356" rel="nofollow - http://www.proggnosis.com/ARTIST_DETAIL.aspx?AID=1356 , some of his albums (and DVDs) have been reviewed on Sea Of Tranquility: http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=6710" rel="nofollow - http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=6710 , http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=6251" rel="nofollow - http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=6251 , http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=6081" rel="nofollow - http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=6081 , Progressive Rock Brasil list him: http://www.progressiverockbr.com/bbands.htm" rel="nofollow - http://www.progressiverockbr.com/bbands.htm , there was an almost three to one majority in favour of adding him in http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=9667&KW=buckethead&PID=1196139#1196139" rel="nofollow - this poll, Alex (harmonium.ro) who used to supervise this forum http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=57900&PID=3242170#3242170" rel="nofollow - said : "Probably no-one claimed him (there are many subgenres that can claim his parts of his output: fusion, experimental, prog-metal, crossover etc.), or maybe no-one tried to shorten his way to approval and addition by writing a bio, I don't know... He definitely belongs here", & Rob (Epignosis) took him to the Eclectic team back in http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=57900&PID=3242723#3242723" rel="nofollow - May 2009 (still early days then... LOL).

He just has such a massive and varied output that nobody up to yet has really taken the bull by the horns, I guess...but I don't see how a site like this can really exclude him to be honest - even if a fair percentage of his material is of a somewhat controversial nature as far as its relevance to prog is concerned.

Anyway the main threads that previously discussed him in this forum are:

There were others too...and there will doubtless be more, unless he gets given a page on here. Ermm
