Heavy Prog won last week's poll, while Progressive Metal got no votes at all.  These things happen, of course.

Weekly winners:
1. Symphonic Prog.
2. Eclectic Prog.
3. Neo-Prog.
4. Canterbury Scene.
5. Prog Folk.
6. Crossover Prog.
7. Psychedelic/Space Rock.
8. Jazz Rock/Fusion.
9. Rock Progressivo Italiano.
10. Heavy Prog.

I am currently digging:

It's interesting that you've eliminated Neo and Symphonic. They're the 2 subgenres that the uninitiated would think of first when they heard the term "progressive".

"Prog Related" has some good music in it but I'd rather vote for actual subgenres. Proto-prog is closer to being a legitimate subgenre, but probably not quite.

RIO/Avant has a lot of substantial music within it, so I'll go for that even if I'm enjoying some prog metal these days.

Eliminated?  They and eclectic were the first three winners.

The uninitiated have never heard of symphonic or neo or eclectic, it's all just prog to them.

Maybe I should further explain myself, or clarify my statements.  When I talked about eliminating Neo and Symphonic, I was referring to the fact that those two weren't included on the list of subgenres at that time.  I think when people relatively unfamiliar with progressive music hear the term progressive or art rock, they would first think of Genesis, Yes, or Pink Floyd.  Even Pink Floyd could be considered as being close to symphonic prog.
