Hi,

I've started a new radio show on Ottawa community radio station CKCU, called Electronic Meditation after the Tangerine Dream album. The focus is on any sort of experimental music with rock instruments, which obviously is going to include a lot of progressive rock. I play a fair amount of electronic music and minimalism as well. As a Canadian radio program going over "real airwaves", I play 35% Canadian content.

It's a two hour show and there are new shows every two weeks. Every show can be listened to on-line and on-demand.

The main URL for the program is here: http://cod.ckcufm.com/programs/462/info.html

The most recent show is here: http://cod.ckcufm.com/programs/462/17495.html

It was a vinyl-only show and featured tracks by Kornelyans, Between, Michel Madore, Georges Grunblatt (Heldon related), etc.

I'd welcome new listeners or any feedback about the shows. If it's not too much of a pain, I'll update this thread from time to time with news about new shows.

Just wanted to give an update on the show.

Last show I did a 2-hour special on Thieves' Kitchen, including a 40-minute interview with Phil Mercy. It can be streamed here:

This coming Thursday I will be doing a special on Necromonkey, featuring an interview with Mattias Olsson.

The complete list of playlists (all streamable) are here: http://cod.ckcufm.com/programs/462/index.html?filter=all

I also welcome requests for show themes or future features. Thanks for reading.

Hi guys,

The Necromonkey program aired last week. If you would like to hear it, it's available for streaming here:

Mattias was a great interview (I think I could have asked him old quiz show questions and he would have found a way to make it interesting) and the music isn't bad either.

Hey guys, just a quick note with links to the last few shows.

Last night's show featured a healthy dose of Berlin-school music from Edgar Froese, Node, Redshift, and Radio Massacre International. Also some classic psych/prog in Älgarnas Trädgård and Catherine Ribeiro.

The show two weeks ago was heavy on German artists, featuring tracks from Can, Faust, Amon Düül 2, Harmonia, Agitation Free, SFF, and Klaus Schulze. Lots of other good stuff too.

Finally, there is the show from four weeks ago which was heavier on new releases, with material from Knifeworld, ROME, The New Pornographers, Musk Ox, Node, and Motorpsycho.

Always appreciate people tuning in, leaving comments, or requesting artists or show ideas. Peace!
