Mammoth is a band from Los Angeles (US). All members studied at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Recent album is called Polymorphism, and can be listened to here: http://mammothprog.bandcamp.com/album/polymorphism" rel="nofollow - http://mammothprog.bandcamp.com/album/polymorphism .

According to http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=19026&PID=4954509#4954509" rel="nofollow - this post from obviously a member of the band it is their second release.

The music sounds a bit crimsonesque, with a jazzy feel. On the second track "Hallucinogenic Hummingbird" the band Thieves Kitchen came to my mind. It is the only song with female vocals. All other songs are instrumentals.

1. Not Yet (4:30)
2. Hallucinogenic Hummingbird (5:26)
3. Resistance Met (3:25)
4. Rüya (4:48)
5. The Onset (1:55)
6. I Am Error (12:30)

The band:
Guitars - Wes Thrailkill
Bass - Chase Bryant
Drums - Aliyar Kinik
Tracked, Mixed and Mastered by Brandon Balsz in Hollywood, CA.
Hallucinogenic Hummingbird Guest Vocals -
Hanne Rye, Ida Ċdel, Seneca Pettee
I Am Error Guest Guitar Solos (Act V: Sonata) -
Giacomo Pianigiani (9:48 - 10:20)
Mateus Asato (10:20 - 10:51)
Yasutaka Nomura (10:51 - 11:23)
Noel Heysquierdo (11:23 - 11:55)

Released 22 April 2014
