Iconic and Grammy-winning rock band YES will tour Australia this November for a four city Australian tour where the band will be performing two of their classic albums in their entirety.  Having sold over 50 million records over its forty-six year career, YES continues creating masterful music that inspires fans and musicians from around the world. With rave reviews and sell out shows in the US, YES are thrilled to bring this very special show to Australia for the first time.  Fans will hear the 1971 groundbreaking albumFRAGILE and the 1972 album CLOSE TO THE EDGE from start to finish, followed by an encore of the band’s greatest hits.

WOW!

$150, not surprising...pretty sure that's what the price was last time.

Hard to believe Yes never toured there before.....you folks missed the good stuff, like THIS!!   (Steve Howe playing "Ritual," 1976, Cicero Illinois "Solo Albums" tour)

Yes have definitely toured Australia before. My dad saw them in the 70's, around the release of Tales.

Anyone know who the Australian promoter is?
I want to start bugging them to bring the show to Adelaide.
It worked for the Crimson ProjeKCt.

They've definitely toured before, twice in my lifetime, I was there (with `Atomic Crimson Scott' for the last one a couple of years back actually!), unless it was all some vivid wish-fulfillment fantasy!

Which, if it was, would have been the band in the 70's prime, not Skeletor Howe and co!

If you sign up for a Ticketmaster account (free), you can buy tickets right now. I just got second row from the front at midday today, very excited!

I think general sales start Monday 9am. Someone else I was speaking to mentioned they got 11 rows back at this point, and that was a few hours ago now.

Are you going to this one, Scott?

I had the privilege of meeting Scott here at that Melbourne show, fellow Archivers!

I had no idea you recorded some footage of the show!

Damn...I saw them here in the US in 2012 for $25.  My stepson had Groupon coupon, we were about the 15th row.  The back up band was Procol Harum.

I enjoyed the show as they played only 70s stuff and The Fly From Here suite only from that album.  Jon Davison was the singer and was flawless.

Have fun mates!!

I bought tickets last night to see them on July 22nd.  They were $39.50 each.  Could have bought cheaper seats on the lawn or more expensive seats closer to the stage.  Should be a good show!

Hi,

I guess I get to see this new version of the band next month near Portland somewhere ... I was not originally looking forward to it, but what the heck, it was a present. A month later I get to go to Seattle and catch King Crimson and to me that's much more ... yeah ... yeah .... more please!!!!! Some more please!!!!!! Not enough ... some more please!!!!!!!

Don't think I'll be able to make for the Melbourne gig on a Tuesday. Did you ever get around to bugging them into performing in Adelaide?

One of my favourite bands (at one point in their career, at least) playing two of my favourite albums, but there's no way I can justify it at that price. Even with the currently lethargic performances, it would've been something to be able to see Howe, Squire & White at least once, the remaining opportunities to do so are of course numbered. But there you go. I'll go and see post-rock band Tangled Thoughts of Leaving in a triple-headline act for $20 and very possibly get a better show. But it still saddens me to know that Yes'll be playing not far away.

Kazza, if you're in Melbourne, are you going to either of the Tangerine Dream shows in the same week?

In Sydney, I'm afraid.

The post about Yes isn't to say I'm not excited about TToL!
