I am trying to get into Can every now and then and this is the album I spin, it's definitely good but I can't say it blew my mind, not at all.

Rock Bottom is kind of a masterpiece.

Holy Cow, these have both been in my Top 10 all time.  Future Days is my #1 though, so it wins.

Don't usually vote in these polls, but in this case I have both albums, so...

Suture Days for me as well. I love that Wyatt album, but there's no getting around the mighty Can - especially in this sweat soaked offering!

See it's posts like this that make me feel like there's something very wrong with me that I can't get into Future Days.

And a very tight race until towards the end when the Wyatt voters pushed Rock Bottom well out in front.

Quite the list of guests helping out from Frith to Oldfield to Richard Sinclair and Hugh Hopper. I just read the first line from Laplace's review as he says "Great Canterbury album, or greatest Canterbury album?"

Rock Bottom - never got into Can really, and Robert is so much more intimate. Plus the music on that album is just epic

I noticed a couple of people who associate this album with summer. Ambient and repetitive spells groovy in some minds. This is their highest rated studio album and maybe that's all that needs to be said.

Rock Bottom is a classic.
I love the Mike Oldfield solo on the last song of the album.

Ahhh, very cool. People often don't realize how big this country is, my old boss had some people visiting from England and they wanted to drive over to Banff until he told them it was about a 37 hour drive.LOL

Good point, and it's not hard to know it's him, he has a certain style and sound when he plays.

The emotion for me is something that does put this above all his other studio albums and over a ton of other albums I love really.
