I love the whole thing so far. 2 listens in and my favorite track so far is Offramp Cycle, Pattern 22. The grove with the atmospheric mono synth at the end is so incredible. |

I'll take the unpopular view of saying...yikes. Some good moments throughout (particular tracks 1 and 5) but overall not really a shining moment here. And things like the second and fourth song are just terrible. Wow...I finally found a Kayo Dot album that really connects with me. This sounds like David Sylvian and The Cure joining forces as a modern post punk band with some beautiful post rock touches. Btw if any you guys are looking for something similar in style, then I wholeheartedly recommend the Diagonal offshoot band Baron. One of the few modern acts to mix the desolate 80s with prog. The album Columns is a real beauty and free as well.
