New digital album titled http://chrispicton.bandcamp.com/album/journey-of-broken-dreams" rel="nofollow - Journey of Broken Dreams by the Manchester's crossover prog master http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=7768" rel="nofollow - Chris Picton is online now.

An ultimate crossover prog masterpiece with predominately instrumentals that make soaring guitars, wonderful use of synthesizers, but also with great parts of these beautiful and passionate female vocals. This album has all the makings of contemporary prog, and certainly it is one of the best crossover prog albums released in 2014.

Quote
Chris PICTON is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, recording engineer who started his first band while still at school. Chris's main instrument is bass, but he also plays guitar and keyboards. He released, wrote and co-wrote, engineered and produced 2 albums and a single with the band QUECIA in 2003 and 2005, and is also working on an album called "Letters Home" with the band 'Angel Easy', as well as writing music for film and TV. He released his first full solo album, Still Life, in July 2012. Chris has also previously played with BIG W, MUSEUM, TUSKAN, TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT, PHOTOFIT, & THE ODDBALLS. The album "Still Life" is a collection of mainly instrumental pieces, but also contains re-worked versions of 2 songs Chris wrote in his days with QUECIA, with vocal parts beautifully sung by the MCCARRICK sisters, Hayley and Kirsty, and originally recorded before QUECIA decided to call it a day.
