This is honestly a very difficult question for me to answer, because I can't say that anything fresh has caught my ears!
Someone should start linking some newer bands to check out in this thread .

I really dig the album HERETICS by Dream the Electric Sleep! It's got substance and soul mix with beautifully crafted melodies and powerful rhythm section. It's not "proggy" in the crazy instrumental sense, though I do enjoy that too, but it should surprise you if you listen to the enire album...and it might rock your socks off!

Of those already mentioned I am a big fan of Knifeworld and Dream The Electric Sleep. Some that haven't been mentioned yet - The Tea Club Anubis Perfect Beings The Samuel Jackson Five Herd Of Instinct I know I'm probably leaving out some, how far back can you go and be considered new?

I've been really looking for new/current progressive rocks bands, as well. The problem I'm running into is ... so many of them are progressive metal. And, I've really lost my ear for metal. I loved it when I was younger. But, for some reason, I really can't stand it any more.
I'm checking out the bands listed here as I can. Besides Sound of Contact, I'm having a hard time finding bands that click with me.

They are only 4 years old / 2 if you count from the first album they've released. That's nothing for Prog.

1- I have 2 albums of iamthemorning and IMO both are Good Prog albums.
2 - I dont know about "New" mean in this post and I dont want to discuss about that BUT Svetonio point to New bands that released their first albums even "iamthemorning". I try to say that. I always follow Svetonio posts because Svetonio opinion very close to mine about most bands and albums. I never want to fight or any negative discuss with Svetonio.

3- Perhaps I mistake about some of bands in Svetonio list and these bands may have 2 or 3 albums. I dont know about these bands but I'm sure about "iamthemorning".

Nice calls from above who mentioned Samuel Jackson Five, Strattman, Setna, Knifeworld and Moetar – agree about that vocalist. She's like Leslie Hunt (District 97) on steroids!
To add to the list.... Mice On Stilts Major Parkinson Purson Phi Kant Freud Kafka Nemrud Kaukasus Druckfarben SKE Heliopolis Thank You Scientist HVRD (or Syd Arthur... very similar sound. SA a little more prog-ish.)
If you're a musician into instrumental music... Plini Trioscapes The Wrong Object Guthrie Govan Felix Martin
