Quote from singer/guitarist Farhad Hossain:

«"A New Revolution" is about how our path in life is dictated by the decisions we make. It's about the importance of making time to think and have a conversation with yourself in isolation without the influence of friends, families, peers, the media, smart devices etc. The benefits are enormous, and it gives you an honest snapshot of where you are, and what you want in life, without external factors dictating that to you. It also allows your soul to be true to itself and open up in ways you never thought imaginable. Many of the answers we seek in life lie within ourselves, but we put up barricades which block those frequencies from reaching us as we get lost in the daily grind of the modern "civilized" society. The best revolution is one that starts with waking up one's self, everything else is inauthentic.

Musically the song is a little unconventional arrangement wise. It has a Fates Warning vibe to it in the middle instrumental section. Surely having Mark Zonder on drums helps in that realization. He really shines on this track. An earlier version of the song had an extended guitar solo, however, I felt that it just didn’t serve the song well so it got scrapped at the last minute.»
