3 stars Remember me listening So at the times it came to light, just a great album, but in the prog context, IMO, it is not an essential one. If I must to recommend some album of Peter Gabriel with prog elements, surely it would not be So. By the way is a great job by Peter. Red Rain is without doubts the best track of the album, and basically cos this agressive aproach typical of Gabriel in some of his tracks, this drama issue customary of the Genesis family. Sledgehammer is a world wide hit, a good pop number, with winds a la Collins. The album has three ballads, one of them a mellow one, Don't give up, performed with Kate Bush in a duet. One of the others, Mercy Street, is the other highlight of the album, an enigmatic and stunning track, that Peter wrote inspired in the work of the poet Anne Sexton. In your eyes is the other ballad, a great track, which reachs superior level proportions in the live versions, in which it becomes progressive in some way. The rest of the album is nothing special.
