This first compilation effort for Supertramp comes rather lately in their career.

It has its pros : it provides a good and wide overview of their work.

It has its cons : lots of songs appear here in their edited versions, their most emblematic song is not featured ("Fool's"), although the CD format would have allowed.

The last two numbers are not really my fave ones (I really never liked "Cannonball") but I guess that someone else might argue that these are great tracks, so it is very difficult to satisfy everybody.

A wiser idea sould have been to release a double CD one but this will be corrected with the "Best Of" Volume One & Two (as two separate CD's) a few years later, making this one completely obsolete : "Best Of Vol. One" being the perfect replica of this one but with non- edited songs and featuring "School").

Two stars.
