5 stars This is the 2nd album by Polish singer / songwriter Tadeusz Woźniak, issued in 1974, two years after the great success of "Zegarmistrz światła". The poet Bogdan Chorążuk and musician Tadeusz Woźniak continued their collaboration on a second LP, "Odcień ciszy" (Shade of Silence). It's one of the greatest representatives of Polish progressive rock / folk-rock scene in the early 70ties.

Woźniak wrote some incredible melodies and performed them accompanied by his exceptional acoustic guitar. On this album he is supported by some of the best Polish prog musicians at the time, as well as a string quartet and the female vocal group Alibabki.

This album includes almost 15 minutes masterpiece, which gives the album its title. The violins and their symbolic flights, as described by Woźniak's voice, are representing some of the best sounds of the Polish progressive music at the time.

Highly recommended.
