5 stars I am not any kind of writer, musician or anything to do the music industry other then a fan of prog rock. This being said there will be mistakes in the following I am sure. On to my view.....

Here we go again another cd from Colin Tench (guitars),Petri Lemmy Lindström (bass),Pasi Koivu (keyboards),Robert Wolff (drums & percussion) and Blake Carpenter (vocals). Collectively know as Corvus Stone. The internet "based" prog band from, well all over the friggin place. This installment also features some other pretty well known names Sean Filkins (Big BigTrain),Phil Naro (Drackfarben),German Vergara (Aisles),Victor Tassone (Unified Past),Andres Guazzelli,Timo Rautiainen,Stef Flaming (Murky Red). The second release has really caight me off gaurd. I was expecting something somiliar to the 1st cd from the sound stnadpoint. Was I ever wrong!. They changed directions in the middle of the road and dont care wether heading east or straight up. I can go on and talk about each track and my opinions but I will let that to the professionals. I will say however that this cd has met or exceeded every one of my expectations. The instrumentals are simply terrific (I LOVE INSTRUMENTALS). The assortment of guests fill in very nicely thru out and the nucleus of the band seem tighter, more fluid and from an untrained ear more cohesive then the 1st cd. This time around I beleive they already knew what each player was to do when the one player prior did his part. keep in mind this is done by email or some file sharing deal on the web!! Blake is the real deal here folks I am sure his name will be applied to other projects in the future. Colin is a phenom!! Roberts drums are, I beleive the most noticbly changed. 1st cd you could tell he had been in a drum corp at some point of his life this one he sounds more polished towards the music as a whole. This with the help of a bunch of cohorts had made yet another 5 star cd !!! Is it really possible to outdo the 1st? In the case of Corvus Stone I say so!!! Buy thsi cd you WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! And if you havent heard them YET buy both for a great listen to what verywell could be the future of progresive rock!!!
