4 stars This 2 CD set gives us the follow up to Ziltoid on a Dark Matters disc, and what seems like a follow up to Epicloud on the Sky Blue disc. While Sky Blue is a good album, it is not as good as Epicloud. But hey, more Devin is a good thing, so it is always great music as he can do no wrong. If you love the original Ziltoid album because it is raw, simple, low budget, silly, and charming then you need to adjust your expectations for the Dark Matters disc. Ziltoid 2 is more silly, more over the top, and an overall bigger production. It may have lost the uniqueness that was Ziltoid, but that was going to happen since there are now 2 Ziltoid albums. With all that being said, Dark Matters is amazing, and March of the Poozers is one of Devin's best songs in his catalog of great music. If you love the humor of Devin Townsend, enjoy any of his albums, or love Progressive Metal then you should love this set since there is so much great music here. If you do not have any of his albums, this is a great place to start.
