5 stars To make a successful instrumental album, it will need to have great musicianship throughout. Soundtrack is one of the best and most complex progressive albums I have ever heard, and it certainly qualifies as a masterpiece. And yes, this group is good enough to be mentioned with the super group known as Liquid Tension Experiment. It is a fantastic effort by the entire band.

There are just so many good things about this album. Throughout the album you will hear many complex and interesting melodies, and sudden transitions into either guitar, keyboard, or bass solos (or a combination between the three). And it will slow down once in a while with Orchestral melodies similar to Symphony X's The Odyssey. Not one member stands out alone, because each player plays in sync with the other (which is very similar to most of Dream Theater's instrumental sections). This is just awesome from start to finish.

I suggest anyone who is a fan of Liquid Tension Experiment, Dream Theater, Shadow Gallery, or Symphony X to check out this album. Trust me, you will be impressed.
